🏗️ Welcome to TAEstimator (Tamulubi's Estimator)
Designed by Tamulubi Munkuli, TAEstimator is a tool for building construction planning, leveraging mathematical expressions, volumetric calculations, and mix ratio models to automate material estimation with accuracy and efficiency.
📌 Purpose: This tool helps you estimate quantities and bills of bricks, mortar, cement, sand, water, and concrete for walls, foundations, slabs, and plastering—based on your input dimensions and specifications.
🛠️ How to Use: Fill in your house plan details on the estimator page (e.g., perimeter, wall height, brick size, foundation and slab dimensions). Then click “Estimate Materials” to generate a full breakdown of required materials.
🌍 Built for Impact: TAEstimator is designed to minimize cost and make construction planning more accessible, especially in resource-limited settings. Whether you're budgeting, building, or advising—this tool brings clarity and confidence to your decisions.
📐 Assumptions
- The model assumes that all material sizes, weights, and mix ratios conform to standard industry values.
- Standard brick bond used is Stretcher Bond.
- Wall and plaster thicknesses are uniform throughout the building.
- All input data provided is accurate and complete.
- Openings such as windows and doors are properly specified and deducted from wall calculations.
- A standard wastage factor (5–10%) is sufficient to cover site losses.
- Plan data is entered correctly, whether manually or via digital extraction.
- Cost estimation relies on current market prices in the database, and labor and equipment costs are not included.
🧱 Wall Type Reference
Single Brick Wall: Wall thickness equals the brick width (e.g., 105 mm). Used for internal walls.
Double Brick Wall: Two bricks laid side-by-side with a joint. Wall thickness = 2 × brick width + mortar. Used for external walls.
NB. TAEstimator allows you to choose between these wall types when estimating materials.
